Meet Our Team

Steven Chapman PT, DPT

Dr. Chapman is proud to call Chambersburg home. As a husband and father of two, he understands the importance of staying active and healthy for family life, work, and hobbies. After earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Lebanon Valley College, Steven returned to the area to serve the community that shaped him. Steven has practiced physical therapy in the area since 2011 with a special interest and experience with the spine.  He’s passionate about helping his patients reach their goals—whether that means getting back to sport, keeping up with the kids, or simply moving through the day without pain. Outside the clinic, you’ll find him spending time with his family, golfing, cheering on local sports, or enjoying the outdoors around Franklin County.

Karissa Reichard PTA

Karissa joined our team in September 2023 after graduating from California University of Pennsylvania. She loves helping patients reach their goals and feel their best through movement and personalized care. When she’s not in the clinic, you can usually find her enjoying local festivals and events, crocheting, or spending time with her cats and fiancé.

Melinda Ryder PTA

Melinda joined the Chambersburg PT team in March 2025.  Melinda is a Penn State Mont Alto alumni and brings 23 years of experience as a PTA to our clinic.  She loves helping people regain their strength and confidence.  Outside of work you will find Melinda spending time with her family and making memories together.

Kelsey Elbel PTA

Kelsey began working at Chambersburg PT in 2023 and brings 12 years of experience to the team.  She graduated from the PTA program at Penn State Mont Alto in 2013 and loves to see her patients be able to get back to activities they love.  In her free time you will find Kelsey spending time with her family and riding horses!

Jennifer Nunemaker PTA

Jen graduated from Penn State Mont Alto’s Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2021 and joined Dr. Chapman and the team in 2023.  Jen is dedicated to making physical therapy both effective and encouraging.  She finds it deeply rewarding to help patients regain their strength, independence, and confidence along the way. Jen values building meaningful connections with her patients and being part of their journey toward better health.  Outside the clinic, Jen enjoys crocheting, reading, and spending time outdoors with her husband and family.

Emily Gormley PT, DPT

Dr. Emily Gormley graduated from the University of New England, Maine, in 2014 with her doctorate in Physical Therapy and in 2011 with her bachelors degree in Applied Exercise Science. She has spent time working in acute neurological rehab, orthopedics, and pelvic health rehabilitation. She has special interest helping others in returning to activity, whether that be sport or movements of daily life; and loves to have her patients return to the activities they enjoy most. Emily enjoys spending time with her family, running – usually early in the mornings, and finding new recipes to try!

Devon Chapman PT, DPT

Dr. Chapman graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 2016 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and relocated to Franklin County after graduation. She has a special interest in myofascial techniques, ankle rehab, and working with older adults to improve mobility and independence. Devon takes a hands-on, personalized approach with every patient, making sure treatment fits their lifestyle and goals—whether that’s getting back to being active or  just moving through everyday life with ease. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find her spending time with her family, staying active, reading a good book, and enjoying everything her community has to offer.
